Such a lovely track. In a space with so many genres, it's so nice to hear a genuine ambient track, one that allows you to breathe and meditate with the song. Thank you for making this and sharing this here. It is much appreciated. :)

ForgottenDawn responds:

I'm glad to hear, thanks for listening!

You, Mr. LA, are an interesting guy. In all frankness, I either really enjoy your stuff or really don't. And that's mostly due to the excessively lo-fi approach you have to your music, which I can respect even if I'm not digging a track.

This one, I dig. I love the chaotic backing of synth and banjo, but having the bass and drum to anchor the song together helps me immensely in appreciating the chaos more. It's a fairly dark and broody track, one that I could imagine listening to when I'm in doomer mode. Maybe one day I will hear your voice clearer through the sound...

In all sincerity, thank you for creating and sharing this, and I hope you are doing well and continue to do what you do. :)

This is my bread and butter right here. Been on a Duster kick lately, and this tickles my ears in the same way. Would love to hear some vox on top, but it's wonderful nonetheless.

Also, it's always great to meet another bitbeak fan in the wild. :D

Nice song! Enjoyed the intricate lyrics, and the musical delivery reminds me of The Front Bottoms and similar indie bands, and toy pianos are always a joy to hear! Also love the turns that this song takes through time signatures and arrangements while still staying cohesive. Thank you for sharing this here! :)

Glassedhouse responds:

this is a great reply!!! thank you <33

Absolutely love the choices you've made here, from the synth melodies and percusssion to the somewhat wild arpeggio at 1:23. It feels like a genuine kind of hope is being presented here, and I feel sucked in to a dreamy club that I want to stay in for a while. Well done! :D

LordAndiso responds:

You described it perfectly!! Thank you !!! :D

Really upbeat track! Definitely makes me think of the kind of music that plays when you're "gearing up" in a game. I like how percussive this track is throughout, but not at the sake of atmosphere and melody. Nice job! :D

Relatable 😢

Absolutely love this lofi sound. It sounds like the muzak they play as you're on hold with a bookstore while sitting in your car as it rains outside. Nicely done! :)

foghorntape responds:

Thanks, man. Done with the first 15 seconds of Body And Soul - Coleman Hawkins plus some jungle drums.

Very cute lil piece. I love how it feels like a lingering improvisation or adventure, especially further into it, and isn't trying to conform to a certain tempo or melody. Makes me feel good. :)

I really enjoy your seamless blending of genres, especially since each section displays a deep love and passion for the genre it takes on. Best of all, it's given a lot of room to breathe within each section, and isn't hyperactive with how it presents its buffet. The only real critique I have is that it feels maybe too soft from 2:20-2:55, like the backing for a lead solo that isn't there. But what you have here is really good, and you should be proud!

Although a metal breakdown at the end would've been sick hehe :)

AUTOSTEREOGRAM responds:

thanks so much for the feedback! def gonna go back to this tune at some point and refine it some more. coming back now with fresh ears i for sure agree about the section around 2:20, needs a more prominent topline melody i think, gotta do that metal breakdown too lol

Just a square peg in a round hole.
