"These yearly reviews are a good chance to look at everything I've done, but my biggest fear is that I'll think I'll actually have "accomplished" something, if that makes sense. I'm very proud of what I've done, but I don't want these projects to become ego fuel for me and prevent me from growing or working on new projects; I'd like for them to just sit and be what they are, let nature take it's course on them, so that I can move along to the next one."

I don't think these are mutually exclusive. You can take pride in your work and still grow as an artist. You can accomplish things and then go on to accomplish more things. I get this vibe that you feel as though you need to downplay your accomplishments so as to make it seem like your next big thing will be stellar by comparison. Which is also totally possible too, your recent work can be awesome and your upcoming work can still be awesomer. Idk I guess what I'm saying is that you're not giving yourself enough credit for being, as the kids 10 years ago are saying, a BAMF.

Thanks for diving more into the history of ACOCk, fun to see it from your perspective. I really only included the end of the show because I wanted to limit my post to this year, but I'm glad you went over all of it. Even if it was 40 years ago.

I'm looking forward to seeing your plans post. :)

Also just realized I forgot to put the McCartney II collab in my YiR post. Shoot.

Why hello there littlbox! You box a little you! Always do appreciate your polished and particular style of writing, long or no it's always fun and easy to read. Seems like you've managed quite a bit this year too, thanks for the mention, and holy shit you won AIM 2020! CONGRATS! One of those things I haven't been keeping up with this year there...

Hope the Logan Whitehurst documentary makes it eventually! And the party!

I have indeed had a pretty decent 2020, albeit with a bit more tension and stress than I'm used to. No way to escape I guess, as I usually do, be it just with trips to the office, or the movies, or just something that feels far from home. Working mainly from home all year has had me climbing up the walls occasionally; having to face demons I feel I usually manage to distract myself from with external dues. And interact with everyone else as they face theirs in the same somewhat limited locales. Looking back now, in a somewhat more relaxed vacation state of mind, it sometimes seems like such petty angst. So unnecessary. We may have a raging pandemic but how can I really let it affect my psyche so much? If anything it just makes it all the more detrimental should you happen to catch something. Though I too have been among those fortunate ones. Still have a job; don't know anyone who's succumbed to it too much. Worst case acquaintance was probably a buddy who was sick for a full month, but no serious symptoms.

Ah well, long rant interlude apologies! Happy 2021, and looking forward to that great big upcoming reveal! And whatever this New Year may have in store for us! Right now, despite all this social chaos: feels kinda promising.
